Hello friends,
I just wanted to give a major shout out to my producer and ol’ reunited friend in LA, Stephan Oberhoff. I wrote an anthem a while ago for the Blue Angels called “The Blues Are Back In Town,” and I posted the acoustic version here on my website and on my Facebook page (by the way if you haven’t already yet, please go here and like it 👍).
Anyway, I finally decided to get it produced — I knew the song was special and knew it had to be done just right to fulfill my vision for it… so after much thought decided to reach out to a guy who was just starting out in LA as a producer/multi-instrumentalist/talented musician at the same time as I was just starting as a new writer/artist. Luckily, I was pointed his way in those early days and he made some incredible productions out of my then “pretty good” songs!
Since then Stephan has collaborated with the likes of Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach and Melissa Manchester just to name a few… as well as having toured with Melissa, Jeffrey Osborne, etc., so he’s become quite accomplished. I recently reached out and he quickly became excited about the project. I flew to LA about a month ago, and we worked for 5 days on this anthem… and it has become the most powerful, majestic song I’ve ever written and sung on. The production Stephan and I created is magnificent, even if I say so myself! It was a labor of love… and the most spiritually satisfying musical endeavor ever for me. We dedicated it up to God every day we were in session… and man, God showed up on this thing! I feel like the song is anointed and I’m so excited for everyone to hear it soon!
The feedback from Stephan’s peers has been incredible and he’s over the moon about it himself! We have some big things planned for this anthem for my hometown Pensacola’s Blue Angels!
Please keep us in your prayers… then hold on and Godspeed!!!
