The primary purpose of the Night Auditor is to provide guests with an excellent hotel experience while functioning as the sole Front Office Associate during the overnight shift. Duties include maintaining accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions; providing accounting support by ensuring all revenues are posted correctly, balancing the guest ledger daily, and completing necessary reports; handling confidential guest information with integrity; addressing guest complaints and requests professionally and resolving or escalating issues; providing management reports on asset utilization and audit results; recommending operational and financial changes; managing daily paperwork such as occupancy reports, guest lists, cash drawer summaries, balance sheets, account summaries, history files, and housekeeping reports; making management decisions in the manager's absence if required; utilizing Excel, workbooks, and Access to submit reports to corporate office; following all company safety and security policies and procedures; reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets; and performing any other work required to fulfill the position's primary purpose. Qualifications include six months of front office experience in a hotel environment, prior basic accounting duties experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to use computers and software to enter and process data. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift. The role requires flexibility to work days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. English communication skills are required.
